Reception Guest Service Agent JOB DESCRIPTION Please note that this is a full time position based at the London Marriott West India Quay Hotel. Guest Service Agents are trained to work in both the Front Desk and ?At Your Service'; a "one-stop-shop" service concept which requires good knowledge of all hotel operations, such as handling all phone calls both internal and external, provide comprehensive service and professionally deal with all guest queries and complaints.Guest Service Agents will also be based on the Front Desk, checking in and out all guests staying at the hotel and apartments. You will also be expected to organise the Front Desk area to ensure it operates effectively, and go the extra mile to make our valued guests feel extra special. Guest Service Agents also work with Loss Prevention and the Manager on Duty during emergency situations. The fantastic Front Office Team at West India Quay is looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual with that special flair for hospitality, with a true desire to progress and develop within Marriott International!Candidates must have outstanding hospitality skills and be highly organised, both on a personal and professional level. You should be flexible enough to cope with shift work and even though we have a dedicated night team, you are expected to work night shifts occasionally.You must have previous experience working in a Front Office team in a 5* hotel, and be familiar with hospitality systems, preferably Marsha and Opera.Candidates must have an excellent level of written and spoken English and be excellent communicators (face to face and over the phone) with guests and fellow associates alike. You should possess the confidence and the professionalism to deal any guest query or challenge in a busy and fast paced environment.
