Position Description: Summary: Responsible for gathering and analyzing financial information. Education/Experience: University degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. Previous financial and/or accounting experience required. Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Ability to analyse business trends and project future revenues and expenses. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets and reporting of financial data. Knowledge of European and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and any other related financial software. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports. Analyse financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions. Interpret data affecting investment programmes, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks. Present oral and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations and entire industries. Additional Position Details:
Purpose of the role
The Role In response to the regulatory change driven by CRD3 and CRD4 and the exceptional demand for support from the Front Office. Supporting forward looking capital planning activity and the assessment of Regulatory changes.
Functions of the role:
- Specific requirements of this role will include:
- To understand the drivers of business capital usage across different risk types for your business partner.
- Produce weekly / monthly capital reports and explain key movements.
- Detailed monthly reviews on a face to face basis with the business to ensure "sign off" of figures - To ensure correct reporting of business RWAs through focus on data quality and control, including interrogation and analysis by counterparty, resolving data issues and identifying mitigating actions.
- Provision of Data Quality Dashboard that will support the business to drive data enhancements and improve the optimisation of capital usage.
- To understand the impact of business plans on capital positions.
- Review business capital forecasts, challenge business demands and ensure capital usage is consistent with other forecast data.
- To understand the impact of regulatory change and what this will mean for the business.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for information concerning business capital data, risks and opportunities, and working with subject matter experts to understand and present this information.
- To collaborate across the Regulatory Finance team, Business Decision Support teams, the wider Finance and Risk functions to identify any factors compromising data quality/relevance of capital information and actively work to resolve these.
- To promote improved capital understanding and excellence in capital reporting, review and commentary, through collaboration across teams in Finance, Risk, Businesses and Regions.
Competencies:

- Qualified Accountant with Investment Banking experience
- Regulatory experience / Basel 11
- Control and reporting experience or Financial control
- Product control experience.
