Main Duties/ Responsibilities
The role is OC Strategic Manpower Planning but with a lead emphasis on the Military Planning and drawdown element. A main element of the role is the Military Support Function (MSF). The post sits within the Director Weapons Programmes area, managing and co-ordinating a number of work strands/programmes including Senior Staff Plot, Military draw down, Military liability management, and acts as the Military Establishment Change Manager.
Outputs/ Deliverables to be achieved
The role is key in providing an oversight of Civilian and Military manning which allows senior management to make informed resourcing decisions. In managing the portfolio of military secretariat requirements, the post delivers all army board requirements, manages senior grading boards and provides all military communications as directed The role includes acting as focal point for Civilian VERS and military redundancy matters. This post co-ordinates VERS, Civilian Recruitment, Flexible Resourcing, Military liability, and acts as the Military Unitu Establishment change manager. Provides oversight of Civilian and Military manning maintains and provides Civiliand and Military manning/MS subject matter expertise to senior Management Board Members.
