Role Details
We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to support our Change and Transformation Team with our Atlas poject, this is a £200 Milion SAP impentation project. Specifically this role will provide monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasting and governance support. Alongside these key tasks the successful candidate will produce financial models for future investment proposals as well as reporting benefits and business case updates for existing change delivery projects.
Responsibilities
Support and challenge the Atlas investment business case within Customer Services through the combination of financial analysis and commercial knowledge, including preparing, communicating and challenging business case updates as appropriate. Facilitate discussion and decision outcomes through the management of meetings and the provision of concise, well presented decision support analysis.
Through clear, concise and well presented reporting and analysis, ensure that the implications on KPI targets of Atlas programme are understood by all stakeholders as appropriate.
Provide overall financial control over the Atlas investment within Customer Services, ensuring compliance with appropriate npower and RWE directives and policies. Including appropriate control reporting and financial evaluation documents as appropriate. This will include the completion of routine financial control processes such as month end and forecast and business plan updates.
Deliver ‘no surprise’ month end results, rolling monthly forecasts, quarterly permanent prognosis and annual business plans of Atlas costs including risks and opportunities. Deliver variance analysis and succinct insightful commentary to articulate the implications of different demand requirements, level of change and level of efficiency improvement driving cost variances.
Skills
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACA / CIMA / ACCA / MBA) with 2years+ PQE experience, preferably within a utility/energy market business.
- Proven stakeholder management skills, demonstrating the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to consider key financial requirements of the business.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to deal with complex transactions / commercial issues.
- Strong process orientation, with an ability to design and deliver robust reporting frameworks, including continuous improvement
