My client a global insurance giant is currently looking for a Project Manager You will be responsible for the management of business and IT projects from initiation through to delivery into the Production systems, as allocated by the Projects Manager or Head of Programme Management. Management and definition of project resourcing, project scope, governance of the project technical solution, project budget, milestones and communication. Conducting research and assessing suppliers as required.Proven Project Management experience including managing:Many small Projects (small project = 1 to 3 months elapsed timeframe)Many medium Projects (medium project = 3 to 9 months elapsed timeframe)More than 3 large Projects (large project = 1 year plus elapsed timeframe)4 to 5 projects at the same time, in different phasesAll phases of development: analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and hand over to supportExperienced in following a formal Systems Development Life Cycle, with entry/exit criteria, quality checkpoints and governanceExperienced in multiple methodologies, ideally at least waterfall and RAD.Experienced in following formal change, risk and issue managementExperience of formal resource planning is preferred, ideally using tools such as Atlantic Global, Clarity or similarThorough knowledge of project planning, tracking and reporting techniques, including use of MS Project. Proven experience of taking learnings from post implementation reviews for Projects, applying these learnings on future projects and measuring the improvementProven experience of matrix management of Teams of 6 to 30 people with different skills and experience: analysts, developers, testers, support roles, various non-IT contributors.A strong delivery focus, with a good understanding of business priorities and IT drivers.Highly effective written and oral communication skills and a high degree of numeracy.The ability to peer review documentation including that produced by other IT Project Managers.

The ability to produce high quality plans, and to deliver against these plans, often to tight deadlines.
