There are two internship opportunities available, based with the cross-site Adult Programmes team in London.

During this three-month internship you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Curators and Assistant Curators in supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of events at both sites across our Public, Community and Access programme strands. During your placement, you will have the opportunity to help with organising events and assisting with research, marketing and artist liaison.

You may also be asked to assist, take part in visits or attend workshops in conjunction with other people in the department. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a career in gallery, museum or arts education.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of adult learning events. Attention to detail and an ability to work on your own initiative are important for candidates in these placements. Confidence and sensitivity in dealing with members of the public, event delegates and guest speakers is also essential. Please note this post requires availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

This internship is offered from 17 September 2012 to 17 December 2012 on a part time basis working 21.6 hours (3 days) per week.
