My client a leading Blue Chip organisation are looking to recruit a VB.Net Developer on a 6 month contract.

As the ideal candidate you will be expected to:-

Gain familiarity with and comply with relevant corporate standards, local and regional authorities, policies & procedures, and legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and control Liberty changes and modifications in accordance with my clients SDLC & any other corporate standards as may apply
Deliver excellent customer service to all our customers
Meet the program target time lines for the delivery of all agreed to development and support targets.
Develop the Liberty back office platform as required throughout 2012 as required by TG CQ tickets and PPM projects
Assist in the deployment and updates of Liberty servers at TH and SCOLO

You will have proven skills in-

Visual VB.Net
SQL Server 2005 (Stored Procs/Triggers, Notification Services)
ASP.NET
Web Services
WS Enhancements
XML / XSLT
Windows Services

And you must have/be:
Knowledge and high degree of comfort with development across all application tiers: UI, service layer, business objects, data access
Must be a strong and confident developer; highly motivated and self-managed
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to adapt to changing business goals and employ creative thinking to solve problems
Preference for agile approach: lightweight documentation, iterative development

Expereince in the insurance sector would be beneficial.
