The purpose of the Project Engineer is to direct, coordinate and complete all Engineering requirements and activities on assigned Projects and will have full technical responsibility on Client Projects. In addition this role occasionally assumes responsibility for a Lead role and at this time will be required to delegate to other engineers and co-ordinate all aspects of the project.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These include the following:
- Adopt and maintain a strong, ever-present and overriding culture of safety in all facets of professional activities and actively help manage and promote HSE policies and practices.
- Manage the Engineering scope, cost and schedule, plus related risk and change for assigned Client Projects.
- When acting as Lead Project Engineer, be responsible for delegating tasks to other engineers, co-ordination of engineering work and reporting on progress.
- Provide a level of mentoring to other engineers in engineering processes and organisation.
- Based on the proposals information, create conceptual designs, product specifications and bills of material that meet functionality, quality, delivery and budget requirements.
