Tata Steel Projects are a multi-disciplinary design and engineering business comprising professional engineers,
architects, surveyors and project delivery specialists across a number of market sectors including rail,
industrial, energy and off-site solutions.

Purpose/Responsibilities
As a senior electrical design engineer within Rail, you will lead and direct teams of electrical and mechanical
engineers, on a variety of projects, providing design and technical output. You will design major electrical and
mechanical engineering projects, to ensure effective delivery, all in accordance with current safety standards,
agreed targets and timescales. Other responsibilities include monitoring team performance, as well as assisting
in the development of staff, to ensure appropriate skills are available.

Person Specification/Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineer, who has electrical engineering design and site experience, gained
within a similar background. Detailed knowledge of electrical design within a railway environment,
construction principles and issues associated with M&E are all essential, as is a solid understanding of
Health & Safety. A proficiency in computer aided design is a must, as are excellent communication skills, good
commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
