Design, specify, acquire and sign off tooling, equipment and machinery, to ensure that robust capable processes are established
Produce and understand CNC part programs, using a variety of programming languages
Evaluate existing manufacturing systems with a view to the justification of change and improvement
Evaluate and purchase production in-process gauging requirements
Work in a TS16949 environment, upholding the ethics of the company’s quality standards
assess product cell Overall Equipment Effectiveness and improve machine/equipment availability
Maintain and develop Process Documentation i.e. Process Sheets, FMEA, Process Flow and APQP
Ensure existing processes are maintained and updated when necessary
Optimise and improve processes working in conjunction with Continuous Improvement activitie
Generate technical drawings using CAD
Co-ordinate between the Engineering and Production teams
Develop, repair and rework schemes for products including containment actions and concessions

A HND or Degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering is essential
Proven experience gained within low volume high added value machining and assembly processes, preferably gained within an automotive environment
Experience of Project Management including budget control and man management skills
Experience of constructing CNC programmes from 2D drawings and 3D models and ability to prove out on CNC machines
Proven experience of CNC cutting tools
Autocad expreience
Interpret geometric tolerance and 2D drawings
Good communication skills & Problem Solving skills
Understanding of APQP, FMEA’s, PPAP, SPC
