Responsibilities:

• Previous experience managing an Accounts Payable function is required along with Oracle/ERP systems experience.
• Lead the effective and efficient delivery of an invoice processing function for UK departments at the organisations
• Required to drive the performance of team members and make continuous improvements to assist the delivery of a best in class Accounts Payable function for the organisation in the UK.
• Responsible for driving the team to process invoices and develop innovative solutions to problems to facilitate the Organisation's monthly achievement of prompt payment initiative.
• Ensure the team delivers high standards of customer service and that practices are consistent with accounting standards and Organisation's policy
• Manage invoices which have not validated for payment (exceptions) and develop solutions to recurring issues as they arise
• Provide guidance and advice to staff, initiating adjustments and corrections where required
• Responsible for the provision of statistical data for the team to identify individual performance, communicate team performance and identify trends and areas for requiring further development
• May be called upon to assist with other projects and administrative duties within the section and will regularly liaise with all departments in the Organisation.
• Line management responsibilities for the staff.
• Analytical and processing work
• Daily interaction with a wide range of stakeholders in the UK and overseas
• Investigate and resolve anomalies and deliver results to agreed timescales
• Work with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve invoicing issues
• Support the development of innovative financial solutions to continuously improve the teams efficiency and effectiveness working to challenging targets

Essential:

• Previous Experience of managing an accounts payable function
• Good IT skills with minimum MS Excel to intermediate
• Previous experience of accounts payable in an ERP system (e.g. Oracle)
• Good Staff Management Skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience of Oracle/ERP Systems
