Finance Manager - EXCLUSIVE

Client:
VanRath are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a US Multinational who have a exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their new Belfast operation. This is essentially a start up operation where you will work closely with the Site Director in all aspects of growing the Belfast Development Center as well taking full responsibility for all aspects of accounting and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this position will be responsible for interaction with U.S. based financial and human resource personnel, providing all required information and support.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare all financial reports/presentations, including monthly financial statements
• Perform the general accounting function, including bank account reconciliation, financial close and account reconciliations, VAT compliance and preparation of statutory accounts and tax reports
• Insure compliance with all applicable financial and statutory requirements
• Point of contact for all U.S. based financial and human resource personnel and responsible for providing all required financial information
• Assist in the finding, hiring, and training scheduling of all new hires
• Manage the operational pieces of our human resources tracking needs
• Oversee project based financial tracking system, including time and cost tracking, reporting, forecasting and annual planning
• Assist with monthly forecasting and annual planning (both operating and capital expense)
• Oversee purchasing of goods and services from local suppliers including coordination with U.S. procurement department to ensure compliance with contracts and purchasing policies
• General office duties, including support for local IT project manager
• Perform ad hoc duties as necessary

The Ideal Person:

• A Third level Degree
• A fully Qualified Accountant – (ACA, ACCA,CIMA)
• 5 Years post qualified experience in a commercial environment
• Proficient skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
• Working accounting knowledge including knowledge of IFRS and UK Tax Law
• Ability to multitask while being detail oriented
• Ability to learn and grasp new concepts and responsibilities quickly
• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred
• Excellent knowledge of IT will be an advantage

Remuneration:
The package will be tailored to attract the strongest candidates in the market and is likely to be in the region of £50,000. This will be negotiable.
