Job Specification:
We are presenting an opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team in the UK General Merchandise department. As a Product Manager you will govern and support the development of own brand products to ensure they deliver for the business and for the customer. You will ensure consistent on time execution of products across all communication mediums and track performance to ensure sales and margins targets are achieved.
In your role you will spend the majority of your time on the management of product and pillar brands within UK General Merchandise. This will include identifying new product opportunities and managing the writing of the strategy for product brands such as Technika, Carousel and Go Cook. You will also be responsible for developing the look and feel of products with agencies that will be executed across packaging and marketing communications. Managing packaging development, researching trends and changes within the markets that our product brands compete in is also essential to the role as well as understanding the customer and ensuring the brand propositions resonate with them.
As a Product Manager you will also educate and up skill the buyers on the strategy as well as briefing the marketing teams to ensure understanding of what the products are about and what they deliver. You will also manage compliance of the products across all touch points to ensure a consistent look and a feel and will work with buying and Technical to ensure the packaging is economical, environmentally friendly and delivers what the customers want in terms of an experience.
In terms of packaging and artwork design you will develop packaging treatments whilst working with design managers to develop style guides and researching packaging treatments with the customer to ensure they meet their expectations. Also, you will measure brand performance by running financial analysis, working with TLT on quality metrics and ensuring our products meet the brand requirements as well as reviewing brand performance to ensure they are meeting customers' expectations.
Candidate Specification:
As a Product Manager you will need significant experience of managing large projects and processes within a Commercial environment as well as experience of managing a small team in a challenging operational environment.
