The Role

URS are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer (Civil & Structural) to work on the design & project management for bridge structure & rail infrastructure works for our Heavy Rail Business Unit in Glasgow.

The Glasgow Mini Operating Unit is responsible for the delivery of railway system designs covering; Signalling, Telecommunications, Permanent Way and E&P disciplines.

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing a small design team, ensuring quality standards and procedures are maintained, staff are motivated staff and deadlines are met.

The position will may also require training and development of staff and will contribute to improving the quality of information, methods, deliverables and systems.

There will be commercial aspects of the role with market analysis, experience of contracts & proposals, assisting in the tendering of bids, and client presentations.

Ideally candidates will have Rail & Bridge experience as well as multidisciplinary projects.
