Role Purpose
Reporting to the Multi-Channel Sales Director this is a new standalone position. The role is to develop key channels and initiatives within a specified International market.
1. General Responsibility
Acting as an ambassador for the brand Formulate goals and objectives to optimize sales in existing accounts and prospects. Create proposals, negotiate agreements and maintain a strong overall relationship with customer Interface with other departments as needed to support customer accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. 2. Sales
Present and sell the seasonal collections to key customers. Organise and manage a professional sell-in calendar. Be a product champion by familiarising yourself fully with product ranges and product information Manage key accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’ products to targeted levels. Identify opportunities and challenges within account base. Be able to identify, present to and close new business Achieve sales and profit targets for current and prospective accounts. Along with your line manager, develop and negotiate terms and conditions for accounts to effectively manage overall profitability at each assigned account. Assist customer service team with all account related questions, issues, and concerns. Keep a monthly record of sales calls, including potential opportunities, and be prepared to present that information when requested. Conduct inside or outside sales calls or store visits. Recognize and escalate any and all critical issues regarding accounts and/or company policies to the Sales Director and/or Human Resources immediately. Understand and communicate to the team and management, key account performance and how the results of these accounts will impact seasonal numbers. Attend tradeshows and customer sites as required. (Depending on assignment, international travel may be required) 3. Account Management
Create Key Account plans to maximize sell through, profit, revenue and market share. Demonstrate an ability to build high touch relationships at major accounts. Understand and communicate value propositions to key account. Monitor and manage category sales performance within the accounts, with the objective to maximise seasonal sell through and plan for forward sell in. Establish the procedures for maintaining key customer opportunities, quotes, bids, etc. and be prepared to present that information when requested. Execute strategies to minimize returns and allowances, and optimize overall profitability. Conduct and/or receive weekly reviews of sales, returns & allowances, quotes, promotions, sell through, inventory management, turns, forecasts, replenishment orders, backorders, and any other account activities that will impact financial results for the account(s). Resolve or delegate any issues that arise as a result of the reviews. Review and analyze daily sales results and compare actual v. projected / plan results. Formulate plans to respond to the analyses. Establish and track an annual account budget, which includes sales and profits. 4. Reporting
Report weekly on all account activity and progress. Communicate and update team members with strategic customer information and initiatives as required. Provide customer recaps for all meetings 5. Other Activity
Analyse and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales management and other departments as necessary. Any other activities deemed appropriate for the Key Account Manager for the successful fulfilment of the role. Understand, communicate and uphold the Joules values at all times as reflected in the Company Handbook and other policies. Health and Safety
