My Client Junior School in Bexley is looking for at least two teaching assistants for September. I currently have four at the school, of which two are leaving to take up their places on PGCE courses.
Its a good school. The staff work very hard with the children to achieve their potential. Approximately 50% of the students in Year 6 achieve level 4 or better in English or Maths. Half of the students in the school have English as an Additional Language and a large percentage are Free School Meals.
The Teaching Assistants at this school play a vital role in raising standards and supporting the students with English as an Additional Language. The Head will either put you in a class as a General Teaching Assistant or you will be working one to one/in small groups with students with specific learning difficulties.
Are you a graduate with good school results in Maths/English?
Have you experience working overseas? TEFL/CELTA?
The Head will be looking for someone who fits at least one of the above criteria.
You will also need to be enthusiastic, caring, calm and have a good sense of humour. The staff are a great team and the Head wants similar individuals to join the team in September.
