NU International Singapore Pte Ltd (Newcastle University [UK] based in Singapore) is looking to recruit an Experimental Officer (Teaching & Research) to manage the teaching and research laboratories which support the BSc (Hons) Food & Human Nutrition degree programme (and associated research activities) being delivered at the Singapore campus (Nanyang Polytechnic).
You will hold a diploma (or equivalent experience) in biology, bioscience, food science, or nutrition (or related field) although a degree level qualification is preferred; and should have hands-on experience of supporting laboratory-based work (such as the operation and maintenance of complex and sophisticated apparatus). A strong interest in working in a laboratory-based environment, an interest in food and human nutrition, and experience of working in a higher education environment would be an advantage. Good communication skills in English and the ability to communicate technical principles (equipment and experimental) with staff and students verbally as well as in writing are also essential.
