My client require a Database Analyst/Developer to undertake a series of tasks to assist in the successful completion of ongoing projects as well as the maintenance and support of the existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
The extraction/migration of data from the solution to other systems
The uploading of data from various systems into the databases
The undertaking of a Database Service for specific customers including Backup and Recovery Strategy advice, Backup and Recovery Implementation, Installation and Usage of a DBA Statistician Tool, Production of monthly DBA reports, Database Patch Implementations, General Problem investigation and resolution & Performance Monitoring
The configuration and use of the Image Import Tool to bulk import historic electronic documents into databases
The investigation and resolution of specific database support problems
The configuration and maintenance of specific modules to allow for ?real time? integration to third party systems (principally using XML)
Liaise with relevant staff and customers to help agree the scope of any database related work
Take an active role in bug and change request management, in liaison with the Support team
Occasional on-site/out-of-hours work
To assist in the production of accurate documentation as required and including Data synchronisation specification documents, Support handovers, DBA Reports, Offer best practice advice to customers in respect of the use of software in relation to database matters, work with other Database Developers/Analysts, to share best practice, forthcoming software developments and any known issues.
To be considered you must possess experience with:
Strong background in Oracle spanning at least 2 years experience (Oracle 9, 10 or 11)
