An exploration and production company in Perth is currently searching for a senior drilling engineer with more the 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry (specifically in offshore projects). Such a high level of experience is required as the right candidate will be responsible for both the technical design of wells as well as communicating with other office engineers.

In order to be considered for this role, all candidates must have a background in all aspects of the drilling operations, right from the initial planning of a project through to the well construction and drilling campaign.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher in engineering
10 years of experience as a drilling engineer with a particular emphasis on offshore drilling projects.
previous experience devising drilling strategies and implementing quality procedures.
Experience in ERD, multilateral and HPHT wells.
Ability to demonstrate preparing and planning documents, contracts and tenders for drilling campaigns along with the planning and design of wells.
Experience working on Australian offshore projects (either office or site based as an engineer)

This role will be an initial 6 month contract with a strong possibility of extension and day rates vary depending on the candidate's experience.
