Senior GIS Analyst URGENTLY required to work for one of Europes leading independent Oil and Gas exploration and development companies - Edinburgh based.

The role will see the successful candidate providing high quality GIS Data, Information and Knowledge when required and to support our Clients assets through the Development Life Cycle.

Duties include:
Pro-active support and advice.

Manage the integration and planning of GIS activities.

Provide data loading and data management workflows for 3rd party and internal data.

Work to demanding project deadlines and milestones.

Regular reporting and communication with users and management.

Assist in planning and requirements for new hardware for servers and workstations.

Assist in the installation of software upgrades and patches for ESRI products.

Support users in maximising the use of GIS technology (ArcGIS server, ArcView, ArcEditor, 3D Analyst etc.).

Participation on how to integrate GIS capability with information management tools such as E&P Catalog and SharePoint.

Enhance data controls to ensure accessibility, security and quality of data stores.

Assist in the integration of well and seismic data with ESRI.

Create policies and procedures in the management and handling of GIS data.

MUST HAVES:
Degree Qualified in a GIS or Earth Science discipline.

Considerable GIS experience in an E&P Company.

Proven hands-on experience working with a range of E&P GIS data types (Seismic, Well and Spatial data).

Proven experience with GIS data management workflows and standards.

Extensive skills with Windows based Software and familiar with LINUX.

Knowledge/skills with XML, SQL and HTML.
