Company Overview:
Natural Paving Products was established in late 2004 and through rapid growth has become the UKs largest independent supplier of ethically sourced natural stone landscaping products.
Since then the company has seen impressive growth and the company now requires the services of a Marketing and Public Relations Co-ordinator to take responsibility for the management and execution of all marketing and design activities going forward.
Summary:
The Marketing and Public Relations Co-ordinator will work alongside the Business Development Manager and the regional sales team to create a marketing and design strategy for the rest of 2012 leading into 2013.
The Co-ordinator will also be totally responsible for the execution of said plan.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organising and attending national trade and public shows at venues including Earls Court, London Excel and the N.E.C.
- Attending suitable networking events and award ceremonies.
- Arrange all corporate entertaining and events.
- Creation of editorial for a range of outlets including: consumer and trade press releases, features, case studies, award submissions, website copy and both newsletters and E-newsletters.
- Placing of adverts in a range of national trade and lifestyle magazines as well as running a regional and local advertising campaign in key outlets.
- Handling the company social media platforms and using them as additional marketing tools to raise the profile of the company and its products.
- Creation of all desired company artwork including: leaflets, flyers, adverts and the company brochure to name but a few.
- Negotiation for all marketing activities and maintaining the stated marketing budget
- Photography for brochures / flyers and any other marketing materials.
- Liaise with the media and outside agencies.
- Manage the 300+ member Approved Installer Scheme and annual awards.
- Ensuring all company databases are kept fully up to date.
- Managing the company SMS text system.
- Responsible for all Mail shots / Mail Outs.
- Handle all public and trade brochure requests.

Essential Skills:
- Possess a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification and have at least five years experience working in a fast paced, business to business environment. Previous experience of overseas sales would be an advantage.
- The candidate must have excellent written skills and be able to tailor editorial for the desired audience and platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, the role will involve speaking to a range of different people from the general public, contractors, merchants and the media.
- Must be able to operate, with a high level of proficiency, both PC and Mac programs including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Acrobat Pro and InDesign).
- Must be able to work to tight and sometimes demanding deadlines.
- Must be organised and able to prioritize workload.
- A team player but able to work on own initiative as well as being a creative thinker and not afraid of bringing new ideas to the quarterly sales and marketing meetings.
- Must possess proven photography skills - Images will be used in all forthcoming marketing material.
- A background in the building materials sector (or similar) would be an advantage.
Salary is dependent on experience.
