To assemble and test various oil and gas related equipment in accordance with competence/knowledge, manufacturers operating instructions, and laid down by QHSE policies and procedures, ensuring that required products as requested in Work Orders are manufactured and delivered within the required time frame and quality standards
Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)
- Assemble and test in accordance with drawings, standard operating procedures, technical work instructions and customer requirements in order to accomplish required job laid down in a Work Order utilising the materials which accompany the Work Order.
- Maintain test apparatus and equipment in a safe working order and visually check serviceability prior to commencing the work.
- Operate the test equipment safely and competently in accordance with manufacturers operating instructions and QHSE policies and procedures
- Carry out inspection duties using appropriate instruments i.e. micrometers, gauges etc, to a competent standard.
- After completing the operation, visually check the assemblies component before releasing to QC Inspector for final inspection.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
- Ensure that good safety and housekeeping standards are maintained as per defined policies and procedures
- Eye, footwear and other PPE is provided and should be worn at all times in the factory workshop area.
- Report any defects or unsafe condition to Chargehand and/or Supervisor
- Ensure a high level of safe working practice is adhered to during the execution of your duties
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment
- Apply where appropriate Client Company’s, Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Safety Management Systems
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, and lead by example to ensure company goals are achieved and exceeded

- Time served technician
- Experience in an engineering environment
Preferred
- ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering
Experience

- Must have good hand skills and good knowledge of general fitting & pressure testing
- Post training engineering experience

- Oilfield experience
- Knowledge of tube instrumentation
