VMC operator/machinist, CNC, Aerospace, Engineering, Located Stoke on Trent, Cheshire area, Permanent Position, Salary £13.53 - £14.93 per hour
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within an Aerospace company for a skilled VMC Operator / Machinist to join our Cheshire based client.
My client focuses on the fabrication of aerospace components from sheet metal, mainly Titanium, Stainless steel, Aluminium, Nickel Alloys.
The role will involve the use of a Bridgeport 650 BP3, 4-axis machine with a Siemens 810D controller.
A 3-4 minute cycle time running batches of approximately 50 units
Measuring and de-burring of items will be undertaken during machine operation
Programming ability would be an advantage but is not a necessity
Person Specification
Ideally candidate would have some mechanical engineering apprenticeship or similar.
The candidate should have gained some mechanical engineering experience or skills gained within a workshop environment.
Must be able to read engineering drawings, and be able to use a Vernier calliper and micrometer.
Must be safety orientated, will be required to maintain a good standard of housekeeping.
Quality focused with an eye for detail, will inspect own workmanship.
This role is a permanent night shift position
Start rate £13.53 going to £14.93 once fully conversant.
