Recently we have in our lab found the new catalyst for hydrogenation of CO2, which is an important step in order to store the CO2 via mineralisation. You will work on a project with the aim of optimising and determining the reaction rates of the hydrogenation reaction in presence of catalyst. You will be responsible for setting up experiments for photocatalysis in order to determine the kinetic reaction rates of a newly discovered catalyst and will help in the analysis of data and modelling and with the writing up of the manuscripts. You should have a PhD or about to submit your thesis in a relevant subject area with experience of photophysics or photocatalysis and the design of experimental equipment.
The post is available for a period of 6 months in the first instance and will require some travel to China.
For informal enquiries please email Dr. Lidija Siller, School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials ( Lidija.Siller@ncl.ac.uk )
