We are currently seeking to appoint a Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator, to coordinate continuous improvement projects and Lean activities for our manufacturing site, based in Ashford. You will act as a champion for continuous improvement activities and deliver special projects/ process improvement projects as directed by the senior management team.The key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Champion the Thermo Fisher Continuous Improvement Program (PPI) and Lean Process. Working closely with all departmental managers to ensure that PPI and Lean manufacturing are embraced as “Way of life” across all functions of the Ashford site.

• Collate and report all finance approved cost savings attributed to PPI and Lean activities to Corporate in the Thermo Fisher approved format on a monthly basis to an agreed deadline.• Drive and deliver all elements of the approved PPI Lean Roadmap on budget and time. • Work closely with other PPI co-coordinators, Managers and Directors from multiple sites and business units to ensure that all PPI policy and regulations are adhered to.• Drive and in some cases deliver appropriate and corporate approved training to ensure understanding and acceptance of PPI and PPI Lean tools and initiatives.• Collate and report all relevant PPI KBMs to the senior management team on an agreed basis.• Develop, support, implement and monitor initiatives and projects that assist with the organizational development of the business and meet the principles of continuous improvement. Undertake specialist projects as required by the senior management team that in particular, drive improvements in our Customer Allegiance Score (CAS) and enhance our Employer of choice status.The ideal candidate will hold a Six Sigma or recognized qualification in continuous improvement and have practical experience of implementing continuous improvement and lean tools into a production environment. You will be an efficient administrator, who is proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
