Position: Productivity Engineer - Industrial Engineering

Duration: Initially to the end of 2012, but will be on an on going basis
Hourly Rate: £20.84 Limited Company / £16.39 Paye
Our Client, an automotive OEM, is currently looking to recruit a Productivity Engineer to work for them on a contract basis at their site in Bridgend.
Skills Preferred:
Support productivity engineering team on a specific/assigned program.
Estimate cycle times, HPU, hourly and salaried labour levels, uptime, capacity, launch cost, working pattern and ramp up effects at PS, PSC, PTC and PA and all revisions and concerns subsequent to PA.
Develop and maintain machining and assembly work standards including the use of MODAPTS.
Generate and maintain HPU roadmaps throughout the program.
Carry out ergonomic assessments for all direct labour operations and generate/maintain the ergonomic evidence book for each program.
Support and drive simulation modelling and experimentation for all components.
Update and maintain industrial engineering input for Integrator.
Optimise all work stations at both Virtual and Make Like Production stages.
Verify work standards (using MODAPTS) prior to PSW and final verification during PTR's and ramp up.
Support machine capabilities on both machining and assembly.
Support PTR runs and log checks on both machining and assembly.
Develop and maintain HPU roadmaps.
Support High Hurts Process.
Support witness visits when necessary.
Work with the simulation team when necessary.
Embrace introduction of GSPAS.
Additional duties and travel as required.
Experience Required:
Applicants should ideally hold an engineering degree.
The successful candidate must have experience in a manufacturing or related activity and will possess the following skills:
A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity.
Ability to work with a diverse team of Engineers in both Manufacturing Engineering and the Customer Plant.
A flexible approach to cope with frequent change.
Ability to prioritise tasks & manage a demanding workload.
