Reed Accountancy Belfast have been retained on an exclusive basis by our client based in Lisburn to assist with the recruitment of an Assistant Management Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a period of 6 x months (initially) and applications are welcome from all Part Qualified candidates with a minimum of 18 months accounting experience.
Job Description
KEY TASKS
Preparation of timely and reliable monthly management accounts
Manage the balance sheet through regular reviews & reconciliation of control accounts
Posting of monthly journals
Manage the monthly closedown for all areas of the Opera accounting system
Preparation of monthly job costing reports comparing actuals to baseline budget and the latest forecast
Monitor and report the cashflow in line with agreed KPI’s and forecasts
Preparation of VAT returns in respect of UK and RoI VAT in line with agreed group processes and timetables
Monthly reporting of financial results to the Head of Commercial Finance
Prepare detailed analysis of the usage of Sub-Contractors to ensure accounting records are up to date and matched to revenue streams
Preparation and provision of statutory audit information as required by the Head of Commercial Finance
To support the Head of Commercial Finance in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and budgets
Other ad-hoc tasks as requested
Person Specification
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, based in the Midlands interested candidates should be:
A Part Qualified Management Accountant with a minimum of 18 months accounting experience, preferably in the construction / manufacturing sector. You should also have excellent experience of VAT compliance and have confident and strong inter-personal skills.
Experience of Opera Financials is also desirable.
