My client is a global technologies provider, servicing the industrial automation, telecommunications, and pharmaceutical markets. They are currently recruiting for a number of Control Systems Engineers to work from their Lanarkshire site.

The Job
Acting as a representative on customer sites, this role will require you to commission, troubleshoot and maintain or upgrade complex control and safety systems, such as DCS, PLC/SCADA F&G and ESD.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
The ability to work independently or part of a team and be self-motivated.

Be flexible and adaptable in accepting new challenges.

Possess a proven history of engineering, commissioning, trouble-shooting, maintaining and upgrading complex control and safety systems. (DCS, PLC, SCADA, Fire & Gas and Emergency Shutdown).

Skills & Experience:
Minimum BSc/HND qualified in a Controls-oriented discipline or equivalent.

PLC System Experience, ideally to include one of the following; Triconex, Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE Fanuc or Mitsubishi.

Graphics Experience, ideally to include any of the following; Allen Bradley control view, GE Complicity, Wonderware Intouch, Invensys IA or ABB DCS.

Additional Requirements:
Must be prepared to work flexible hours as required

Must currently hold (or be eligible to take) offshore medical and survival certificate.

Must be prepared to travel to client sites (both UK and overseas) as required.

Fluent in verbal and written English

Occasional offshore working will be required within this role; therefore applicants will be comfortable spending extended periods away from home.
