An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Head of Finance to join their team in Northern Ireland. The job holder will be responsible for all financial matters, specifically supporting the Managing Director in delivering the profitability and growth of the business and will have further Regional responsibility including Scotland.

The job holder will be responsible for all financial matters, specifically supporting the Managing Director in delivering the profitability and growth of the business and will have further Regional responsibility including Scotland.
As part of the Company's senior management team you will also be responsible for analysing, explaining and driving business and financial performance. You will develop and implement the Company's strategy and business plan and develop a first class operational accounting function. Location for the role is open to discussion.
Role Responsibility:
Provide relevant, timely and accurate financial information and analysis to the business
Responsible for maximising revenue and profitability for the existing contract base. Exploiting revenue and profit opportunities for new business acquisitions
Maintain proper and effective internal financial controls in accordance with the group finance policy and procedure manual (GFPPM)
Manage the annual budgeting, quarterly and monthly forecasting process, ensuring that changes to business assumptions and financial impacts are captured on a timely and accurate basis
Explain variances to budget and forecast, and be able to challenge assumptions
Manage the annual business planning process
Ensuring an appropriate level of provisions in the business
Provide Business Analysis to improve processes, productivity and performance, and support effective business decision-making
Stand-in for the Managing Director as required
Provide financial and commercial support to bid preparation and other business development activities
Provide market and competitor analysis
Educate non financial managers to understand and interpret their financial results, providing training modules where necessary.
Work with the other managers to promote best practice throughout the company
Manage and develop the Financial accounts teams, and deliver continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential
Qualified Accountant
IT literate - Microsoft office, particularly Excel essential
Knowledge of JDE,SAP or similar accounting package
