Working for a large national automotive group, we are looking to recruit an experienced Production Controller, for the Batley area.
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
Managing the Team
You will have responsibility for the day to day task management of the workshop technicians (currently a team of 9) with the focus on driving improved working patterns and efficiencies through motivating, coaching and developing the team.
You will be able to give first line technical support to the workshop technicians. This support will relate to the two unique types of production work we perform:
The conversion of base passenger vehicles and vans into wheelchair access vehicles
The adaptation of any form of vehicle to allow a disabled customer to drive the vehicle. These can range from the more simple hand controls to the more complex drive from wheelchair projects.
Vehicle Quality Control
You will be responsible for in-build quality control, non-conformance reports, post work inspections and continual adherence to Conformity of Production.
Health & Safety
You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment is maintained in the workshops in line with the Company’s health and safety policy.
We are looking for an experienced Production Controller with a settled career history and successful track record. You will be able to clearly demonstrate your ability to generate impressive results by increasing performance and operating efficiency. You must have strong leadership and people management skills as your primary focus is to lead your team to deliver their business objectives.
Anyone from an engineering, manufacturing or factory background would be ideal in this position. The hours are 7.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
