Engineering position Fugro-impROV is a leading provider of Subsea Intervention Tooling to the global oil and gas market. Due to continued growth, we currently have the following vacancies at our facility in Dyce, Aberdeen. The purpose of the Design Engineer’s position is to conduct the engineering duties of a project in a professional and methodical manner. The Design Engineer will provide expertise and technical support to the client during the design phase of a project and will also have technical authority over the specifications of the design.

The principal accountabilities include: Review of 2D & 3D files to ensure the design created by the Design Draughtsman and /or Junior Design Engineer meets the Functional Design Specification. Review and/or creation of calculations files to proves design parameters have been met. Review and/or creation and revision of procedures and manuals for operation and maintenance of the equipment. Supporting the build and testing programmes of the equipment in the workshop.

position requirements · General school education including English, Maths and a Science subject. · An engineering degree will be advantageous as will membership of a professional body (for example; IMechE) · Skilled knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD programs (preferably AutoCAD & SolidWorks.) · Experience with standard MS Office applications. · Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with people at all levels. · Self motivated and committed to continual improvement.
