My client is a large Blue Chip Financial Services organisation,
and we are currently recruiting for an Environment & Release
Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful
applicant will work within Middle Office Technology as the
Environments & Release Manager supporting the non-production
environments. They will also be responsible for co-ordinating
releases into production.
Excellent: Windows Server, MQ
Good: SQL - (SQL Server & Oracle)
Desirable: Windows Scripting, UNIX (including Scripting), Fiserv,
Control M Scheduling, File Transfer methodologies, HP Quality
Broad Technical experience
Experience managing Multiple Environments
Ability to interact with users - Business Analysts, project
managers, developers, testers, and support staff
Good communication skills - may be required to chair meetings,
produce minutes and track actions.
Good organisational skills, strong problem solving skills, a good
understanding of systems processing, and attention to detail
The Successful Candidate;
Flexibility - able to work evenings and weekends on
Experience documenting existing environment and configuration
Experience managing and troubleshooting environmental
Ability to interrogate Windows Event Viewer, other log files and
database to determine the cause of Environment issues.
End to end experience of the Software Development Life cycle in a
Experience in hands-on deployment of releases and changes to
Experience of Change Management, raising Change Requests
Experience of creating Implementation Plans/Run books
Experience working with and mentoring team members in multiple
