My client is a large Blue Chip Financial Services organisation,
and we are currently recruiting for an Environment & Release
Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful
applicant will work within Middle Office Technology as the
Environments & Release Manager supporting the non-production
environments. They will also be responsible for co-ordinating
releases into production.

Requirements;

• Excellent: Windows Server, MQ
• Good: SQL - (SQL Server & Oracle)
• Desirable: Windows Scripting, UNIX (including Scripting), Fiserv,

Control M Scheduling, File Transfer methodologies, HP Quality
Centre

• Broad Technical experience
• Experience managing Multiple Environments
• Ability to interact with users - Business Analysts, project

managers, developers, testers, and support staff

• Good communication skills - may be required to chair meetings,

produce minutes and track actions.

• Good organisational skills, strong problem solving skills, a good

understanding of systems processing, and attention to detail

The Successful Candidate;

• Flexibility - able to work evenings and weekends on

occasion.

• Experience documenting existing environment and configuration

setup

• Experience managing and troubleshooting environmental

issues

• Ability to interrogate Windows Event Viewer, other log files and

database to determine the cause of Environment issues.

• End to end experience of the Software Development Life cycle in a

structured environment

• Experience in hands-on deployment of releases and changes to

large systems

• Experience of Change Management, raising Change Requests
• Experience of creating Implementation Plans/Run books
• Experience working with and mentoring team members in multiple

locations
