Main Purpose of Role
To develop and implement HR Strategy that is aligned with and supports the delivery of the business goals (including best practice approaches to recruitment / selection policy/ practices, discipline, grievance, counselling, pay & conditions, contracts, training & development, succession planning, morale and motivation, culture & attitude development and performance appraisal)
Responsibilities
Provide advice and guidance for all operational aspects of Human Resources, a people management and development of the business in support of the organisational objectives.
Provide high level of HR advice, support and guidance to the Company Directors, Managers, Supervisors and employees (where applicable) and contribute to the evaluation and development of HR strategy in conjunction with the senior management team.
To help develop, implement and evaluate a company communication strategy. (Company notice boards / Newsletters / Team briefs)
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of organisational performance.
Liaise with other functional/ departmental managers so as to understand all the necessary aspects of development in line with the strategy. Identifying training requirements and recommend/ arrange or provide in-house and external training programmes for all employees.
Establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure a safe work place without risk to health. Ensuring that the work place satisfies and complies with all health and safety requirements.
Constantly review update recommends and creates (where appropriate) standard company policys, procedures and change management programmes to reflect current and forthcoming changes in employment legislation and best practice and to support the company culture and organisational objectives.
Provide day to day support and advice to line managers and supervisors on implementing company policys, managing day to day HR issues, problems, employees disciplinary and grievance hearings and other general areas of HR practice.
Produce monthly report of statistical HR data to both the Divisional Director and the Group People & Performance Director.
Ensure that all company operating values and compliance procedures are adhered to at all times, including Quality management, Health and Safety, Legal stipulations, Environmental policies and general duty of care.

Skills
Experience in a Management / Operational /HR role. Has had responsibility for HR and production operatives and evidence of being an effective communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels.
Demonstrates effective leadership skills. A track record of successfully identifying and developing talent to meet the changing organisational demands. Inspires enthusiasm empowers others to achieve results and walks the talk.
Is solution orientated and customer focused. Enjoys a high degree of variety in their job. Is precise and accurate, is a completer / finisher and sees the job through to the end. Is a self starter once goals and objectives have been agreed.
Knowledge
Has a track record of managing a well structured HR operation.
Previous Health & Safety & Payroll experience.
Strong generalist HR knowledge across all aspects of recruitment, retention, training and development. Working with senior management teams on organisation and development issues.
Strong IT skills and accurate numeracy.
Has set up and developed HR functions.
