The Company
Our client is a highly respected market leading political publishing and Communications Company. They provide a wide range of government agencies, public, voluntary, charities and private sector organisations with advertising and sponsorship opportunities through an expanding range of monthly magazine titles, online facility, events and conference platforms. They are in a phase of development and expansion and currently require an Advertising and Conference & Events Sales Executive to sell advertising, sponsorship and event opportunities.
The Role
Based in Edinburgh you will be responsible for generating new business and managing key accounts within their high profile flagship magazine title, supplementary publications and conferences. This role will involve negotiating and presenting bespoke advertising and conference solutions to key decision makers over the phone and face to face. You will be responsible for building, nurturing and developing existing relationships with key decision makers within a wide range of organisations looking to communicate with policymakers and decision makers within the public sector in Scotland. Clients could include charities, government agencies NGO's and private sector companies.
The Candidate
Ideally you will have experience of selling advertising, sponsorship, exhibition or conference opportunities from any sector (i.e. newspaper, events, conference, radio, directory, magazines etc) with a genuine interest in Scottish current affairs and politics. Alternatively, you will have experience of working within policy, political, public affairs or selling to the public sector or non-governmental organisations with the desire to pursue a career in the lucrative world of advertising sales or you will be of graduate caliber of some business to business sales experience. You will be self motivated, professional, articulate, and business minded with the drive and determination to continue this leading political publishing organisations success.
