Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of couplings, clamping sets, torque limiters, torque measuring systems and hydraulic components for a variety of industries. They now have an exciting and immediate opening for an Area Sales Manager to cover the southern half of the UK.

As a home based, client facing Area Sales Manager, you will become the external sales interface between our client and their customers to maximise existing opportunities as well as continually sourcing new opportunities in line with their Sales Strategy. You will be responsible for actively seeking new business opportunities within a dedicated geographical area and agree pricing structures through developing effective working relationships. This hands-on and involved role will require you to read technical specs, present product portfolios and close sales of varying size throughout a large and lucrative territory. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2-3 years sales experience preferably gained in an engineering and mechanical based sector. Knowledge of the transmission industry would be highly advantageous. You will have a proven track record of sales success, the ability to identify new business sales opportunities using relevant research tools and through sector specific targeting and the ability to assimilate information quickly making informed decisions from facts presented. This role requires strong business acumen & commercial awareness, the ability to prioritise competing demands and initiative, drive, motivation and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will receive an initial base salary circa 28-30k with an uncapped OTE of 36-40k achievable in the first year. Additionally you can expect further and generous benefits.
