An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Arts and Craft Tutor to teach within a Prison Service based in Ashford, Middlesex area, this is a temporary role with the opportunity for a permanent role.
40 hours a week- 25 hours of teaching and 15 hours of prepping
£140 daily rate
This is an extremely challenging position and as such previous experience of working within a similar environment is desirable.
Essential Skills and Experience- Evidence of :
Being educated to degree level or equivalent
Teaching qualification (minimum PTLLS)
Relevant experience of teaching Art and Craft/Adult Education to groups of adults;
Experience of working with students from a range of cultural and faith backgrounds
Experience of preparing individual learning plans
Experience of working as a member of a team
Strong interpersonal skills with an approachable personality;
High level of organisational skills
Knowledge of and commitment to best practice in equalities and diversity;
Knowledge of assessment processes and awarding bodies
Ability to teach effectively and to prepare relevant teaching materials across a range of levels;
Ability to teach well, with evidence of differentiation, inclusion and awareness of learning styles;
