Description
Co Antrim based public sector body has a requirement for an Environmental Health Officer to commence on a short-term contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Senior Environmental Health Officer for performance of duties of the post and to participate with the other officers in the Unit.

The main duties and responsibilities will include working in the Food control section within the Environmental Health Service and carrying out a full range of enforcement, investigative, educational and advisory duties associated with the responsibilities of the Environmental Services Department.

Essential requirements for this post are:
EHORB registration
Minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject e.g. Environmental Science/Health
12 months post graduate experience within the food division of Local Authority Department
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of Environmental Health Services
Good written communication skills and interpersonal skills
The ability to work on own initiative with the minimum of supervision
A full current driving licence and access to transport OR access to a form of transport to meet the requirements of the role
Flexible to work a range of hours required to deliver the service
