Dundee High School FP RFC seeks to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to drive forward the aims of their local rugby development plan and contribute to Scottish Rugby's vision for growing the game.
Working in partnership with the High School of Dundee and Scottish Rugby you will deliver on behalf of the club and its partners to maintain a thriving development structure within the clubs junior section (Dundee Eagles) that ensures the club is vibrant and at the centre of sustainable rugby development. This will include working with a number of state schools in the area as well as providing specialist coaching within the High School of Dundee.
A Level 2 UKCC Coaching Qualification or equivalent, a current driving licence, experience of coaching rugby and excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this post.
Key Accountabilities:
Achieve the club's and partners' agreed targets for rugby development including increasing participation across all age groups
Manage and deliver the primary and secondary schools programme and associated relationships with schools and other stakeholders
Deliver specialist coaching within the rugby programme at the High School of Dundee
Manage and deliver the highly successful Touch Dundee programme consisting of both summer and autumn leagues
Manage coaching staff / volunteers and ensure that they deliver high quality sessions at schools and clubs consistent with the club and governing body's standards
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all partners, stakeholders and key contacts
Work with the Dundee Eagles Convenor to ensure the youth section continues to thrive
Manage budgets associated with the development programme.
