Purpose of role:
To support the Head of Creative Communications and the Senior Designers in the development and delivery of creatively appealing and commercially viable communication material which is to brief, on time and within budget.
Role Definitions
Key Job Accountabilities:
Undertake the design and production of graphic design material e.g. POS, Poster, Leaflets, exhibitions, DVDs and Brand related projects under the direction and guidance of the Head of Creative Communications and Senior Designers
Support the development of visual guidelines and promotional visuals for customer activities (mandatory and library), design promotion concepts and create designs ready for print
Support the development of Brand image related visuals
In conjunction with the Head of Creative Communications and the Senior Designers, develop and maintain good working relationships with the Category teams to ensure that verbal and written briefs are translated into communications that are in line with brand and creative strategy / direction
Briefing and directing photographers, illustrators, designers, copywriters, models and freelance resource where required to produce creative materials
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments and trends in design and current activity within the cosmetics and toiletries sector

To actively engage with Company and Franchised Markets
Champions, supports and participates in The Body Shop’s Values and Campaigns.
Personal requirements for role
Experience:
Some experience in developing and designing commercially viable creative concepts and delivering to brief in a design studio environment
Some experience in conceptual thinking
Some client-facing experience, pitching, presenting and developing client relationships
Qualifications:
BA in Graphic Design/Related or equivalent
Competencies required:
Conceptual thinking essential
Excellent Mac skills, fully conversant with indesign, illustrator, Photoshop (not necessarily to visualizing /retouching standard)
