My client is seeking a Trading systems administrator to handle testing, releases, installations, monitoring and support of trading systems applications and the respective back end systems and perform system and network troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will require an excellent understanding of SQL, strong Unix/Linux skills and Perl scripting ability. A minimum of 2 years experience working in 1st or 2nd line Application Support, preferably within another financial institution, hedge fund or top tier investment bank, is a must and familiarity and interest in financial markets is desirable.
C++ programming ability will be considered a huge plus and the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication. This role offers plenty of exposure to all sides of the business, with the administrator expected to communicate with members in all departments, at all levels of the firm.
