The Linen Hall Library seeks to recruit a Finance Manager, responsible to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Governors.
The Finance Manager will:
play the lead role in the development of a strategic financial plan and work closely with the CEO to deliver the Library's Business Plan;
work with the CEO to establish systems to monitor budgets to ensure efficiency and to identify areas where costs can be controlled and revenue increased;
prepare management and annual accounts in such a manner as to achieve an unqualified audit opinion.
The successful candidate will:
be a qualified accountant with membership of one of the main CCAB bodies (ICAI, ICAEW, ICAS, CIPFA, CIMA or ACCA) with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience;
possess demonstrable understanding of business development, strategic and financial planning;
have highly accomplished and effective interpersonal, presentation, communication and written skills;
have strong IT skills with experience of integrated accounting packages.
This is a permanent position. While the normal working hours are 36 hours per week, some occasional work outside these may be expected to fulfil the requirements of the post. For an exceptional candidate the working hours might be flexible by negotiation. Salary is negotiable.
