TCS is recently-formed function within Prime Ops supporting the various clearing solutions in the market-place from the LCH, CME and ICE (and other CCPs). As a Clearing Member acts as an Execution Broker and/or Clearing Broker in OTC transactions giving non member counterparties access to the CCPs and the markets they support.
TCS facilitates the margining process which is fundamental to the OTC Client Clearing model, liaising with CCPs when they debit the margin from the Bank and passing these margin calls onto the client. Thus ensuring accurate and timely settlement which in turns minimises risk and funding costs back to the business.
Main Duties
Manage a portfolio of Global clients, build excellent client relationships. Support them on a daily basis, for BAU requests and escalate queries where necessary
Liaise with the business on any client support issues, communicate client queries clearly and concisely and escalate issues effectively
Support clients through high profile pilot testing, operate in UAT environments which may require extra attention and manual workarounds
Perform daily controls and checks to ensure accuracy of data and maintain minimum levels of Key Risk Indicators.
Provide and analyse Management Information around critical tasks
Challenge existing processes and highlight weaknesses
Suggest improvements from a control and efficiency perspective
Providing reporting to key process stakeholders including Prime Product Team (FO), Senior Ops Management and Regulators
Provide some level of strategic input in order to shape an efficient operating model which can support the various clearing solutions in the market across all CCPs (LCH, ICE, CME etc)
Communicate effectively with Business, Change and IT to help shape requirements and solutions to Business Enablers and STP enabler work streams
Person Requirements
Essential skills
Flexibility, client service focus, ability to think laterally, provide creative solutions, work in a fast paced environment, prioritse around market deadlines.
OTC Derivative product knowledge, especially Credit, Rates and FX
Essential - fluency in two or more European languages(French, Spanish, German, Italian)
Awareness and experience of the impact Regulatory reforms and how these reforms will impact the Industry
Client Service best practises
IT skills, especially Excel, Visio, Powerpoint and internal banking systems
Opportunity to leverage language skills to support an international client base
