One of Europe's most prestigious and profitable hedge funds are looking for an expert C++ developer to join their Algorithmic Trading Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and build of their high frequency algo trading system. They will join what will initially be a small team, and as such will play a vital and varied role within the company. Their initial focus will be to develop from scratch a brand new high volume, high frequency, very low latency algorithmic trading platform.
Candidates must be comfortable in the entire development lifecycle - working with quants and traders, developing greenfield code, familiarising with new asset classes, and deploying live trading systems. They may also be involved in work on order management systems, market data feeds and real-time data capture and storage, so experience here would be beneficial. Essential requirements:
Strong C++ - core understanding and low-level programming experience
Multi-threading
Performance profiling/optimisation
Test-driven development
Desirable experience:
Good knowledge of various asset classes
Experience of designing and building high throughput, automated, low-latency real-time trading systems
STL, Boost
FIX protocol
UNIX system administration and shell scripting
