each day i would turn up and get a block of flats to go too, and get told what needs to be cleaned/serviced and the time i would need to get it done by. I learnt that i can manage time efficiently and can get jobs done to the standard that is expected of me and that i also can work under some pressure. The management was good and they got to the point, – more... were always clear if i was doing something wrong or if i did a good job. my co-workers were cooperative of me when i was new and taught me how everything worked. The hardest part of the job was sometimes being really pressurized to get things clean really quickly because obviously people would be moving in later that day, but at the same time it was really enjoyable at the same time. – less

As with everyone you tsake everything in your stride. Also depends on your outllook on life

I am currently a porter and the job is very varied, i do everything from arranging functions to doing the post run. The company itself is a joy to be part of as well as being in the estates department with other porters that are hard working and great to get along with.

The work I carried out was individual with no supervision, and a lot of trust was placed in me, and it was my duty to report any faults in AVS equipment so as to ensure the smooth running of the AVS department.

University of Leicester is a great place to work at. I worked in the Biological Sciences department, where I did my Master's degree research project. The people are very encouraging and helpful in all aspects of work.
