a good and safe place to work with very helpful co workers and good training so you stay in a safe and friendly environment.

Easy but fast paced job. I have not learned much there, most of the values and things I picked up in jobs I have done before. Management is poor and lack understanding of work. Team was great, we had great fun and I have made good contacts there. The hardest part was cutting the cable, but at the same time I enjoyed it most.

Low salaries, amateurish management, stuck in dark ages. Amazed there's still anyone there!

Terrible management with absolutely no respect for their employees and customers. They care only about results (guess their bonusses depend on it) and do not care about the satisfaction of customers and employees. Management does not speak with employees but ignores them. No idea how they expect 100% motivation and commitment. So if you would like to – more... be treated like a dog, go join the Tyco kennel !!! I am glad I have left this madhouse and if you ever consider to work for them, think twice before you make your choice. – less

A typical day for me would be making sure my planner is well organized and prioritized. It allows me to utilize my time wisely and helps me in making sure nothing gets missed. The hardest part as a buyer is working with people overseas due to the time difference. The most enjoyable part is working with Development, Operations, and Engineering staff. great people learned a lot about fire systems. My partner was a great guy showed me lot during training period. hardest part of the job was following pipe chase in large buildings.

Management had problems with the gay community. One of the co-workers was humility bc of his sexuality. He was told to apply for team lead and than taken from him by management only to be told by another manager it was bc he was gay. He was a good worker and mentor.

A was a great place to work because of my commute. My commute was only 10 to 15 minutes. I learned designing prototype units for customers. Management were very fear and I always felt they treated me good. Co-workers were very easy to get alone with. The hardest part of this job was the dead lines sometimes I got to finish the job. Great business with superior growth in revenue and opportunity. World class management and culture. A normal day consists of working for a superior brand and developing innovative products for firefighters.

The pay was great and the people there are both kind and knowledgeable. Good work atmosphere.

Good benefits not a bad place to work. Was a temp for five years and was layed off.

The salary is OK if you are not looking for long term employment. Some management was Great but the DGM for my location was short sited and did not value loyalty or hard work and no vision.

My immediate supervisor was GREAT one of the best people I ever worked for. The team was ALSO A GREAT bunch of people and didn't deserve the GM.

This is an ideal job if you think there might be job security. Tyco laid me off and four years later closed the plant. People are still loosing jobs.

You have generated leads, but to stay ahead you will need to make your on leads. You can be successful but it requires lots of effort to stay on top.

If you are college educated then Tyco is not the place to waste your time with thinking you will go far because you will not! There is a very serious buddy system here. No one does all of their job duties. Micro-Vu persons does not do their checks. If you are educated and real good at catching bad parts then everyone will have it in for you and will – more... try and get you fired! – less
