Friendly and supportive
Supply Teaching Assistant (Current Employee), Leicester – September 12, 2012
Pros: team teach training
Cons: offers of work are often very last minute
I work as a Supply Teaching Assistant and rarely see the Teaching Personnel office staff face-to-face, but they have always been very friendly and supportive, for example in trying to find me placements that fit around my training commitments. You feel they care about you as an individual and you are not just a name on their books.

Challenging, rewarding and fun
teaching assistant (Current Employee), Bristol – July 2, 2012
Pros: lovely consultants in the office who invite feedback and are very kind, supportive and helpful
Cons: commuting (unbillable hours) and being ready each day just in case you are called in to work
Arrive at agreed time (punctuality very important); learned much about employees perceptions of "agency" or "bank" staff. It's been interesting to be working as agency/classroom/nursery support with professional people who once sought out my professional expertise in a very different role in education. It's been a wonderful opportunity though and I – more... would thoroughly recommend it to all. Most difficult part of the various jobs has been ensuring hours are sent in to the office on time and the travelling hours spent commuting. Most enjoyable part of the job has definitely been working with so many lovely children and co-workers. – less

Exciting new opportunities
Teaching Assistant (Current Employee), London – June 18, 2012
Pros: love working with different children
Cons: i dont know when i will receive a call (agency)
Just being in an educational setting with an array of children is rewarding. No two days are the same. It is exciting and fulfilling.
