Apprentice (Former Employee) – Ayrshire – 19 September 2017
I have been an apprentice for stagecoach for 3 years and overall its been a good experience, the communication isnt the best and i feel i wasnt showed as much as i should have but i came out feeling that overall its not the worst place to work in

the work life balance is very poor working 12-13 hour split shifts over a 4 day week you may start a 05:00 and finish as 17:00 and will be asked to driver for 5 hours without a break. you may finish at 21:30 at night and then be back for 06:00 start the shifts are not good you also start and finish at different locations and have to travel back to get your car in your own time. This is the reason for wanting to leave. Management poor no communication from the Director's down to local management no one listens. The buses are in very poor state and you as asked to take them out with minor faults.
good pension and healthcare packages
long hours only paid for 10 hours a day for the driving but working 12-13 hour shifts
PCV Bus Driver (Former Employee) – Northampton – 24 August 2017
you are just another number to them no one in management actually goes out on the road to see the prblems the drivers face on a daily basis and it seems no one from Stagecoach Head office is interested in the problems at the depots as long as they dont loose mileage.
good rate of pay
long hours, some rotas 60+ hours, no overtime rate every hour is paid at the same rate
Bus Driver (Former Employee) – Rawmarsh – 19 July 2017
Turn up for work on time do overtime work your holidays and what do you get In return ...sacked for an accident that's not your fault all because the assistant ops manager is a jumped up little bully beware of this company yes you get half decent motors to drive and the money is ok but the management have no people skills at all
Bodyman (Current Employee) – Yorkshire – 12 July 2017
The job itself is enjoyable and the other staff members are awesome but your not really appreciated, nothings good enough people pick your work apart even though they know nothing about what your doing so morale is low
Driver (Former Employee) – Herne Bay – 22 June 2017
I am 64 years old and had quiet varied career but have honestly never worked anywhere as awfull as Stagecoach. The turnover of drivers is staggering. Long duties short breaks, often just one 45 min break in a 12 hr shift. Forced to work bank holiday at the same pay rate, oh you will be given a lieu day but hardly ever allowed to take it. Treat like an animal by the management. They keep control by keeping everyone in fear for there job. If you think you can cope with being employed by Stagecoach I wish you good luck.

Nasty back stabbing company, full of brown nosers and management that talk to you like dirt. Avoid this company. Good points is they put you through your test for free and you might have a good depot with good management in your area but the experience with the depot in my area was disgusting.
