Good company, just wrong time to be a static in-house engineer as the MES business was just starting to take off.

It was very easy to work there. I have learned how to work fast , how to minimize fails to minimum. Management was always helpful.

Although the people working for Siemens were very pleasant, the nature of the company is unforgiving for lack of success. Unfortunately the company are very expensive and in the current climate, customers are not willing to pay over the odds for a fairly simple service.

Learnt how to line manage and resource plan.
Devloped and improved the infrastructure across the project sites.
Problem solving and decision making skills.

A typical day at work was booking appointments for customers to have new gas meters installed. The managemnet was very structured and always there to help when needed. Co-workers were fantastic and always helped when I needed it. The most enjoyable part of the job was talking to/helping customers.

Responsible for site multi-groups that assemble/package plastic and liquid components using semi/automated filling lines, including freeze drying automated machinery.

Productive and well cultured work place , my overall review of the company is that Siemens is a leading energy solution company , my work as a security guard allowed me to see how diverse and well driven the company is.

Too many positions eliminated especially to experience consultants with 10 plus years employment. Out sourcing is also an issue.

This is a large company with many different divisions from which you can gain knowledge.

A great company to work for, great benefits, and great management. Management has been slipping lately, but still satisfactory for job performance.

Worked at two different sites at Siemens. One site had an amazing team to work with. The second site had a disorganized mess in terms of management.

I have worked here for 15 years. I work with electricians and tradesman supervising the intallation of temperature control systems. I enjoy my job.
My boss of the last 6 years passed away and now management has a new person in place who is very new to the industry and was making life and jobs very difficult to enjoy. Hardest part of my job was not getting – more... the right parts needed and trying to explain to the customer why that is. I enjoy dirivng a forklift It was the first thing I learned to do when I graduated and I look foward to learning more transportation trades.

Management figured out early-on that I got more and better work done for more clients on a consistent level if they made me an autonomous agent, giving me the resources and materials requested and allowing me to resolve the issues. First half of the morning i pick orders on the forklift with the rf gun, the second half of the day im on the dock. The job was easy to catch on to, good management skills.

Acuson was purchased by Siemens. Completely different culture.
