Ever developing workplace
Financial System Support Specialist (Current Employee), Uxbridge – September 25, 2012
Pros: get an option to travel
Cons: -
On a daily basis i work closely with management and Project Financial Analysts dealing with clients in the Pharmacuetical industry.

I find my role is ever developing, and continues to challenge my goals.

I work within a friendly and effective team environment that work effectivly together to gain positive results. I enjoy meeting new people at PAREXEL.

The – more... most enjoyable part of my job would be acheiving overall goals i set myself personally which in all helps the comapny go forward.

I like to make a difference. – less

Lousy management, hostile work environment
Sr. Systems Engineer (Current Employee), Billerica, MA – April 26, 2013
Cons: lousy management, hostile work environment
Lousy management, hostile work environment.

I have interacted with Human Resources once in 10 years and they were clueless.

I don't even know who my HR rep is.

They don't seem to care.

The working environment is not user friendly for everyone.
Clinical Data Manager (Current Employee), Bloemfontein, Free State – March 12, 2013
Pros: flexi hours
Cons: free overtime hours for leave
It was a very valuable company when i started working here, with the director we had previously because she resigned 6 months later after my employment, as years goes by it changed dramatically that one would loose focus at work.

Clinical Trial Specialist II (Former Employee), Durham, NC RTP – February 9, 2013
Very fast paced, demanding and task oriented. I learned all aspects of the organization in the 4 years I was employed. Management very strict and keeps everyone on task and expects complete accountability for your job duties. The hardest art of the job was to keep up with ongoing training and job deliverable
The most enjoyable is the feeling at he end – more... of the day you will have exceeded at something value to the organization, world and yourself. – less

Project Financial Manager (Current Employee), not applicable – January 17, 2013
Pros: can work from home if needed
Cons: too much stress
Typical day at work: stressful with an overload of e-mails
Learned to be professional, adhere to strict deadlines, working under extreme pressure.
Top Management overseas does not seem to care about the workload and below average salaries of longtime personnel.
Co-workers are mostly competent and productive.
Hardest part of work is to have time for – more... a private life and forget about work.
The nice environment, availability of equipment when needed, possibilty to travel are the most enjoyable part. – less

Management does not clearly mention the expectations. Not really a professional environment to work with. No clear picture of the future given and not too much of job security

Pros: flexi hours
Cons: can be late hours, becasue of different time zones
Arrive in at wotk, prioritize on teh emails I receive and respond to them accordingly. I have to cjeck all my studies and make sure that any outstanding issue is dealt wth, by contacting the relevant peole and applying procedures that will ensure that all data is accurate and as it should be. I help my co-worker as I have more knowledge on some of the – more... things and thus, I am a point of contact on some processes.I work flexi hours and the environment is friendly. Poorly Managed Company
Quality Management (Former Employee), Billerica, MA – January 2, 2013
Pros: pros: entry point into pharma industry
Cons: extremely poor management and office politics
It can be a good place to work in terms serving as an entry point into the pharmaceutical industry. The fundamental problem is that the work environment is fraught with office politics, and poor management. Line or middle management is poor, there is no managerial presence in terms of guidance or direction for the employ, essentially management throws – more... people at projects and provides little or no guidance. Essentially, it is a sink or swim environment. Not recommended as a place to work. – less

horrible place to work. No work life balance. The upper management manages by bullying and intimidation. Promotions are given by favortism not by hard
Drug Safety Associate (Former Employee), Waltham, MA – November 6, 2012
Pros: will hire without prior experience
Cons: expected to work long days
The department was small and cut throat. My Manager used me to do all the work and took the credit and took the promotion. I heard that Other departmentments do not run like the one i worked on and i heard that our department was not well liked by other departmentments because we were unfriendly. I can definately understand that. I have seen manager – more... mistreat staff that they did not like so that they would quit. even. heard managers talk bad about staff. Negative environment and it comes from management. The management spies on staff and it i was told tht by a manager. Managers have no management experience – less
