New Experiance
Sales Assistant (Former Employee), Bluewater – June 16, 2013
Pros: employee discount
Cons: not enough hours
Whilst working at New Look I was required to do everyday shop duites, these included; fitting room duites, stock clearing, meeting and greeting customers on shop entrance and till duties. During employment in this retail store I was able to discover some new skills and was able to improve the skills I already had. The skills I developed whilst working – more... at New Look are Customer service, listening and communication. The most enjoyable part about this job was being able to help customers and make them satisfied, The hardest part of this job was dealing with agressive and complaning customers but I found ways to help them out as best as I could. – less

Customer Services Assistant I (Former Employee), London – June 11, 2013
Pros: free lunches
Cons: long hours
A typical day at work was fun and interesting. I'd enjoy a new day because id love to see the obstacles I face and how I get over them on busy and calm days. I learned to be patient and to always smile because if you look happy it will make the the people around you happy. The enjoyable part was seeing people happy with what they brought & the hardest – more... part was not always showing my emotions if I were angry or upset – less

Pros: discounts on items at the shop
Cons: long hours
I did this position through the Galloway training I did not enjoy this as much as I was not around a lot of people and was on my own most of the day which I did not mind but would have been good to talk to other staff I found it hard to settle in and found the staff not all nice to me but in more positive it did give me look at hard work which I did – more... enjoy it is so different to serving people food and drinks – less

Productive and fun workplace
Sales assistant (Former Employee), Lakeside – May 16, 2013
Pros: free lunches
Cons: long hours
A typical day at work would be priorotising the workload for the day. I would then deligate taskd to members of my team. Throughout being at new look I learnt alot about working within a team and under pressure. I had a good relationship with management as we had to work closely yogether to meet target and discuss how we would do it. The hardest part – more... of the job was the hours regular overnight shifts (10pm-10am) occurred. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting targets as part of a team knowing we had done so through our hard work. – less

Great team work and friendly store
sales advisor (Former Employee), durham – May 3, 2013
Pros: flexible work hours to be able to get to school pick up
At the start of our shift we were put on a rota so everyday was different we worked an hour on each post eg, tills, fitting room, prossesing delivery, customer service on shop floor. The team i worked with were all friendly and could always ask each other if we needed help or advice,i learned to be confident in myself, to be able to advise customers on – more... outfits and the ability to add on sales by adding shoes, jeweliry, hair pieces etc,to promot store card and the offers in store.I learnt to use internet in store to order products for customers and use the new click and collect service in store.I also unpacked delivery and learned to merchindise the new products. The hardest part of the job for me personally was learning to merchindise although i found it rewarding as i learnt. The most enjoyable part of the job was to be able to promot the product and see the customers happy being able to help them feel good and know that they would come back again, also being able to put my own input into some areas of the shop. – less

Great workplace
Visual merchandiser (Current Employee), White rose-Leeds – April 28, 2013
Pros: 50% discount
Cons: salary
I am a visual merchandiser and my job is to make sure the store is to the guidelines and visually appealing to customers and that would benefit the store in sales. Within the 10 years I have done many roles such as account specialist, supervisor and have learnt many skills. The manangement is great and have always praised me in my job and have been – more... really flexible with my hours as I have a young child. I enjoy every part of the job as i've been with the company for so long other member of staff look up to me for advice and training. – less

Fun Part Time Job
Sales Assistant (Current Employee), Sheffield – April 22, 2013
Pros: generous discount
Cons: inconsistent hours
I really enjoy working as a team to reach targets and see the store succeed. My typical day would include unpacking and merchandising delivery, greeting customers, dealing with requests, offering help advice and knowledge of the stock to customers, answering telephones, doing online orders, till transactions and refunds and opening store account cards.
The – more... hardest part of the job is the inconsistant hours and little opportunity to progress to a career within the company. The most enjoyable part is working with the general public, every day is different and the benefits of a generous 50% discount. – less
