Sales Assistant (Former Employee), Bluewater – June 16, 2013
Pros: employee discount
Cons: not enough hours
Whilst working at New Look I was required to do everyday shop duites, these included; fitting room duites, stock clearing, meeting and greeting customers on shop entrance and till duties. During employment in this retail store I was able to discover some new skills and was able to improve the skills I already had. The skills I developed whilst working – more... at New Look are Customer service, listening and communication. The most enjoyable part about this job was being able to help customers and make them satisfied, The hardest part of this job was dealing with agressive and complaning customers but I found ways to help them out as best as I could. – less

Cons: long hours
A typical day at work was fun and interesting. I'd enjoy a new day because id love to see the obstacles I face and how I get over them on busy and calm days. I learned to be patient and to always smile because if you look happy it will make the the people around you happy. The enjoyable part was seeing people happy with what they brought & the hardest – more... part was not always showing my emotions if I were angry or upset – less

Pros: free lunches
Cons: long hours
A typical day at work would be priorotising the workload for the day. I would then deligate taskd to members of my team. Throughout being at new look I learnt alot about working within a team and under pressure. I had a good relationship with management as we had to work closely yogether to meet target and discuss how we would do it. The hardest part – more... of the job was the hours regular overnight shifts (10pm-10am) occurred. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting targets as part of a team knowing we had done so through our hard work. – less
